Early Years

1973
Digital Electronics Ltd. (DEL) founded to manufacture laboratory instruments in collaboration with Houston Instrument, USA.
1981
DEL commences design and manufacturing of Process Recorders.
1985
DEL collaborates with Houston Instrument, USA for manufacturing CAD peripherals.
1988
DEL collaborates with Kronos, USA for manufacturing Time Attendance Systems.
1985-91
DEL launches design and manufacturing of various products - Component Insertion Machine, Weather Monitoring Systems, next generation Process instruments and CAD peripherals.

UniDEL goes global

1993
DEL signs technology transfer and manufacturing agreement with Eurotherm, UK for Process Recorders.
1996
DEL buys 50% shareholding in Tumbull Controls Pvt. Ltd., Chennai and inks a JV with Eurotherm, UK for full range of Industrial Automation products & systems - Eurotherm DEL India Ltd. instituted.
1997
DEL partners Land Instruments, UK for its range of non-contact temperature measurement systems.
1998
DEL Process Instruments business sold to JV company Eurotherm DEL India Pvt. Ltd.
1999
SoftDEL Systems Pvt. Ltd. founded with headquarters in Mumbai and a subsidiary company in USA.
2000
UniDEL Group launched with Digital Electronics, Eurotherm DEL and SoftDEL Systems as group companies.
2005
UniDEL signs JV with Land Instruments, UK - Land DEL Infrared Pvt. Ltd. instituted.
2006
UniDEL partners Parker Hannifin USA for Low-Voltage Drives - SSD Drives India Pvt. Ltd. incorporated.
2007
UniDEL profitably sells shareholdings in Eurotherm DEL and SSD Drives to Invensys plc and Parker Hannifin, USA respectuvely, multiplying its investment 25 times.

DEL Automation Pvt. Ltd. established to house the Group's automation, systems integration and manufacturing business.

Creating "Engineered in India"

2008
SoftDEL inks a joint entity agreement with Matrikon to support its product development initiatives and global project consulting.

SoftDEL sets up branch office in Japan.
2009
SoftDEL sells its majority stake in the Matrikon - SoftDEL joint venture to Matrikon Inc, Canada

SoftDEL forms partnership with Ox Solutions Ltd., Tokyo, for the Japanese market
2010
DEL Automation Pvt. Ltd. appointed master distributor agreement with Cooper Wireless a division of $6.5B Cooper Industries, USA.
