Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Student Counsellor who will provide guidance to help students navigate academic stress, and career choices, creating a positive and supportive environment for student success. The ideal candidate will have a BA in Psychology, 3-4 years of counselling experience, and a deep understanding of the challenges faced by students in academic institutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Counselling:
    • Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students on academic, career, emotional, and personal issues.
    • Offer career counselling to help students align their academic choices with career aspirations.
    • Provide guidance on time management, study skills, and work-life balance.
  • Workshops & Seminars:
    • Organize and conduct workshops and seminars on topics such as mental health awareness, stress management, and academic planning.
  • Monitoring & Reporting:
    • Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and interactions with students.
    • Provide periodic reports to the administration on the overall well-being of students and any emerging trends or issues.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (BA in Psychology). A Master’s degree or diploma in counselling psychology or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 3-4 years of experience providing counselling services in academic institutions or related settings.
    • Experience working with young adult populations in an academic environment is highly preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of student development, adolescent psychology, and mental health issues.
    • Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Familiarity with counselling tools and techniques for addressing a range of academic and personal issues.
