Job summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to own end-to-end quality assurance for our cloud-based web and mobile applications. The role requires hands-on expertise in manual and automated testing, strong exposure to AWS Cloud, and the ability to independently manage complete testing cycles—from requirement analysis to final test reporting and stakeholder demos.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution
- Analyze requirements, architecture, and design documents to derive comprehensive test strategies and test plans.
- Design and maintain detailed test cases, test scenarios, and RTM (Requirement Traceability Matrix).
- Execute functional, regression, system, integration, UAT, and smoke tests across web and mobile platforms.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Android, iOS).
- Independently manage end-to-end test cycles, including execution, defect tracking, retesting, and closure.
- Experienced in implementing secure development methodologies, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data and systems integrity
API & Integration Testing
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman / REST clients.
- Validate REST/JSON payloads, authentication, error handling, and performance.
- Test MQTT-based communication flows for IoT applications.
- Cloud & Log Analysis
- Validate applications deployed on AWS Cloud environments.
- Perform log analysis using CloudWatch / application logs for defect isolation and root cause analysis.
- Validate integration with cloud services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS/DynamoDB.
Security & Quality
- Perform basic security testing (authentication, authorization, session management, input validation).
- Validate compliance with secure coding and testing best practices.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, release readiness, and risk mitigation.
Defect & Reporting
- Log defects in JIRA with clear reproduction steps, severity, and evidence.
- Provide daily/weekly test status reports, defect metrics, and quality dashboards.
- Prepare and present test summary reports and release sign-off documents.
- Conduct test demos to internal stakeholders and clients.
