Role overview
We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to lead the architecture, design, and technical direction of IoT, Gateway, and Cloud-based platforms. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in AWS and Azure, full-stack development, microservices, and DevOps, along with ownership of security, compliance, and scalability across enterprise-grade systems.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
- Define end-to-end system architecture for IoT solutions including Devices, Gateways, Cloud, and Web/Mobile Applications
- Design scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures on AWS and Azure
- Lead microservices-based architecture design and API strategy
- Define data flow, communication protocols, and integration patterns (MQTT, REST, WebSockets)
IoT & Gateway
- Architect IoT device and gateway solutions, including device provisioning, connectivity, and lifecycle management
- Experience with Gateway software design, configuration management, OTA updates, and edge processing
- Ensure reliable cloud-to-device and device-to-cloud communication
Cloud & Backend
- Design and review backend services using Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript)
- Architect event-driven and serverless solutions where applicable
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Define logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability strategies
Full Stack & Frontend
- Guide architecture and best practices for React and Angular applications
- Ensure secure and performant API integration between frontend and backend
- Enforce standards for reusable UI components and state management
DevOps & CI/CD
- Define DevOps architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Ensure automated testing, security scanning, and release governance
Security & Compliance
- Architect systems compliant with GDPR and ISO 27001 standards
- Define secure coding practices, data encryption (at rest & in transit), and access control
- Review security posture, threat models, and compliance audits
- Experienced in implementing secure development methodologies, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data and systems integrity.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Act as a technical mentor for development teams
- Review design documents, code, and architectural decisions
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders
- Drive technical decision-making and resolve complex architectural challenges
