Role Description
As an Investment Accounting Intern, you will support our investment accounting team in accurately recording and reporting investment transactions across various asset classes, including equities and fixed income securities. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in investment accounting within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the reconciliation of investment transactions, including trades, dividends, interest payments, and corporate actions, across equities and fixed income asset classes.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining accurate investment accounting records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the preparation of investment performance reports, financial statements, and other accounting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in the implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of investment accounting processes.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as assigned by the investment accounting team.
Eligibility
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software applications.
- Detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively analyze and interpret financial data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
